When I was 8 years old, I asked for my first camera...
Not really sure what an 8 year old would do with a camera, my parents gave me my mother’s old box camera. It came with a flash attachment and bulbs the size of small Christmas ornaments. From the first time I heard the shutter click, I was hooked! I knew the perfect first event for my first photography session... the 1964 New York World’s Fair!
Since color film was quite expensive at that time, my father elected to give me black and white film only. I was quite disappointed, but I decided I would make the most of it. The photos turned out so beautifully that my father later told me he should have given me the color film. Over time he understood that when I was passionate about something, failure is never an option.
Over 45 years and tens of thousands of photographs later, photography is still my passion. I hope you enjoy looking at my work. Photos are available for download or for print in the online gallery. There are also custom products.
